Men's Basketball:  Lynx stay perfect with win over Monmouth

[December 01, 2017]    On Wednesday evening, the Lincoln College Men’s Basketball team ran their record to 9-0 with a 76-68 win over the Monmouth College JV.

 

Sophomore guard Isaiah Nelson (Springfield) led all scorers with 20 points going seven-of-ten from the field including four three-point buckets. Three other Lynx scored in double digits as well, including Rockford grad Trayvon Tyler (15), sophomore guard Desmian Devane (Chesapeake, VA, 12), and Louis Griffin (Washington, 11).

Lincoln was dominant on the boards grabbing 42 total rebounds in the game. Three Lynx players tied for the team lead in rebounds with six apiece. They included freshman Tyrone Wright (St. Louis, MO), sophomores Richard Simpkins (Carlock) and Tramon Jackson (Cahokia).

LC will look to continue their winning streak on December 5th when they will host the Eureka College JV at 7:00 pm.
