[December 08, 2017]    The Lincoln College Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Team were once again in action this past Saturday as they traveled to The 3rd Annual Ted Erikson Invite held at Illinois Institute of Technology (NCAA DII).

The Lynx men finished in 2nd place out of 5 teams losing to IIT, but took down North Central College (NCAA DII), Manchester University (NCAA DIII), and Beloit College (NCAA DII). The Lady Lynx finished in 3rd place out of 5 losing to IIT and North Central, but they were able to best Beloit College and Manchester University.

Freshman Macoy Neinas (Sturgeon Bay, WI) led the way for the Lynx as the top point’s scorer and the sole swimmer who won an individual event. Neinas took first in the Men’s 200 yard backstroke.

Lincoln Head Coach Johnathan Jordan commented, “We were hoping to have a better placing at this invite but considering where we are at in the season and the number of swimmers and divers that we have out to sickness and injury we did fairly well.”

The Lynx will be in action for their last home meet of the season Friday December, 8th at 5:00pm.
