12/08/2017 NFL Note - * Retired Jennings, Rashad

RB Rashad Jennings announced Friday he is retiring after eight seasons in the NFL. The 32-year-old Jennings wrote on Twitter: "If good things don't come to an end, then how can better things begin? I'm truly humbled. I'm truly excited... More to come on this. But for now, I just want to say THANK YOU. Thank you to everyone! #ShadHumbled." Jennings also posted a video and said he will be doing a press conference soon with the Giants. Jennings finished with 3,772 rushing yards, 1,469 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns in a career that began with the Jaguars in 2009 as a seven-round draft pick. He continued with the Raiders in 2013 and the Giants from 2014 through 2016.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Thomas, Michael

S Michael Thomas (knee) didn't practice Friday. Thomas would be a big loss on special teams.

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Miami Dolphins Williams, Damien

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Peterson, Adrian

RB Adrian Peterson (neck) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the visiting Titans. This will be the second straight game Peterson will miss. He injured his neck two weeks ago during a victory over the Jaguars. Head coach Bruce Arians isn't sure how long Peterson will be out.

"I have no clue," he said. "It's just something he and the doctors are working through. ... He's walking around fine. It's just a matter of being able to take a hit and getting all his strength back."

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Veldheer, Jared

LT Jared Veldheer, who was new to the injury report this week because of an elbow issue, was limited in practice on Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Tennessee. He is expected to play, however, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

"Jared, he practiced good today," Arians said. "The strength is back in his arm so he looks like he'll be able to go."

-----------------------------------------------

NFL Note - Arizona Cardinals Peterson, Patrick

CB Patrick Peterson did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday and was limited Friday because of a sore hamstring. However, the six-time Pro-Bowl selection said he fully expects to start Sunday against the Titans.

"I'll be ready to go Sunday for sure," he said Friday. "I mean, it's a little sore, but for the most part I'll be ready to go Sunday."

Asked if he would be 100 percent for the game, Peterson said, "Who knows?"

Peterson has never missed a game since the Cardinals selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 2011 draft. He has made 108 consecutive starts - the most by a Cardinals player to begin a career since the NFL merger in 1970.

Among NFL defensive backs, only Baltimore cornerback Brandon Carr (156) and Detroit safety Glover Quin (128) have longer active consecutive starting streaks than Peterson.

-----------------------------------------------
