ALMH Emergency Room Nurse Casie Milner of Springfield, Illinois has been named the 2017 Employee of the Year at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. ALMH president and CEO Dolan Dalpoas presented the award to Milner at the ALMH Holiday and Award Celebration on December 1, 2017 held at the Knights of Columbus in Lincoln. Milner was selected by her peers from the 2017 employees of the month to receive the honor.

Milner holds an associate’s in science degree from Lincoln College and a bachelor’s of science in nursing from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She is proud to work at ALMH because of her co-workers.

She was nominated by a co-worker for the honor who stated, “Casie consistently goes above and beyond to help her co-workers each night. She has taken on several additional tasks at ALMH and has continued her education, recently completing her Trauma Nurse Specialist certification.”

Milner is thankful to work at ALMH with a great team.

“Everyone works hard to help create a great experience for our patients. And it’s a great place to work because my co-workers are like a second family to me,” said Milner.

She’s also very thankful for her close family that has always been supportive of her career in healthcare.

“They even work around my schedule during the holidays so that we can spend it together.”
