Obituary
Duane Barry Work, 67, of Lincoln,
passed away December 10, 2017, at his residence.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Thursday,
December 14, 2017, at Second Baptist Church. Home
Going Services will follow at 11 a.m. also at the
church. Cremation rites will then be accorded.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery at a later
date. Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home has been
entrusted with his care.
Duane was born June 11, 1950 in Springfield, the son
of Barry and Jacqueline (Mills) Work. He married
Sharon Buss on June 14, 1995. He retired from Eaton
Corporation after 42 years of service. He was an
active member of Second Baptist Church where he
served as a Deacon, a member of the Finance
Committee, an Assistant Sunday School Teacher, and
sang in the church choir. He was an avid record
collector, Chicago Bears Fan and St. Louis Cardinals
Fan. He was a dear friend to many. |
Survivors include his wife Sharon Work; brothers Thomas Work and
Marcus Work; stepdaughter Denise Cline; and 3 step-grandchildren. Extended
family and friends also survive.
Memorial donations may be made to Second Baptist Church.
