Mount Pulaski boys defeat Tri-City 69-33

[February 01, 2017]  Mount Pulaski ended the month of January riding high with another win. This time the Hilltoppers crushed Tri-City 69-33.

Mount Pulaski has now won 10 of their last 12 games.

The Hilltoppers placed four players in double figures, with freshman Brandon Kretzinger leading the way with 22 points. Junior Peyton Taylor had 12 points and 15 rebounds. Both Gezus Oliver and Eli Griesheim tossed in 11 points.

Mount Pulaski held a slim 11-10 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Hilltoppers exploded in the second quarter to score 20 points, with Kretzinger tossing in 10 of his points here. The lead at the half was 31-17 in favor of Mount Pulaski.

A solid third quarter allowed the Hilltoppers to maintain a lead, 44-27.

A huge scoring performance in the fourth quarter allowed Mount Pulaski to crush the Tornadoes 69-33.
Mount Pulaski is now 13-8 on the season.

The Hilltoppers will travel to Springfield Lutheran Friday night.
