Hilltoppers fall at home to New Berlin 51-39

[February 07, 2017]  The Mount Pulaski boys basketball team blew a 36-25 lead late in the game to fall at home to the New Berlin Pretzels 51-39 Tuesday night.

 

 

Mount Pulaski led 12-7 after one quarter of play.

The Hilltoppers held a 27-19 lead at the half.

The second half the Pretzels held Mount Pulaski to just 12 points.

At the end of the third quarter Mount Pulaski was still in control with the 37-31 lead, but New Berlin started a comeback late in the third quarter and their momentum carried into the final quarter.

New Berlin would end up going on a 26-3 run that included pouring in seven threes.

Mount Pulaski meanwhile just managed two points from Lukas Aylesworth in the fourth quarter and the game ended with New Berlin on top 51-39.
