[February 10, 2017]  The Mount Pulaski girls basketball team opened regional play Thursday night at home and the Lady Hilltoppers knocked out Decatur LSA 65-27.

Mount Pulaski dominated the contest all night long. The Lady Hilltoppers lead was 15-4 at the end of the first quarter and the ladies from the hilltop were up 34-11 at the half.

Head Coach Eric Leever was pleased with how his starters managed to put the game away early and this allowed for his bench to get significant playing time.

By the end of the third quarter Mount Pulaski had a 30-point lead, 51-21 the score.

The host team cruised to a 65-27 win and will face Heyworth in the regional championship scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m.

Mount Pulaski also has four players shooting in the 3 point contest at 5:30 p.m. tonight. Those shooters are: Ashley Houser, Skylar Hayes, Kaylee Wilham and Olivia Cooper.
