Mount Pulaski boys defeat Illini Central 61-52

[February 11, 2017]  The Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers downed Illini Central Friday night in a game that was moved to Mason City due to the girls regional championship being played in Mount Pulaski.

 

 

The Hilltoppers led the game 24-15 after the first quarter behind three threes from Brandon Kretzinger and eight points from Peyton Taylor.

Mount Pulaski held a 35-21 advantage at the half over the Cougars.

The Hilltoppers continued to control the game and led 45-36 at the end of the third quarter.

The final in this one was 61-52 as Brandon Kretzinger led the Hilltoppers with 25 points.

Lukas Aylesworth had a double double for Mount Pulaski. Aylesworth poured in 12 points and pulled down 12 rebounds.

Mount Pulaski is now 15-9 on the season with two big games coming up next week. Mount Pulaski will travel to Athens for a makeup game on Tuesday night and then the Hilltoppers will host Illini Bluffs Friday night for Senior Night.
