[February 16, 2017]  State Senator Bill Brady (R-Bloomington) responded to Governor Bruce Rauner’s Budget Address on February 15.

“I agree with the Governor that we must work to create jobs and growth in Illinois. This is going to take real reform. The Senate is going to continue to work on those reforms such as business reforms, workers compensation, education funding and property taxes,” said Republican Senator Bill Brady. “We also need to focus on passing a balanced budget with cuts and revenues that are in the best interest for all of the citizens of Illinois.”

While Senator Brady said he is pleased with the continued encouragement from the Governor to work on the existing legislation filed in the Senate. However, there are still remaining issues that need to be negotiated.

“We are working closely with the business community in order to create a business friendly environment that brings jobs to Illinois. Job creation leads to community growth and a thriving economy for all of its citizens,” said Brady.
