As a community we value choosing leaders on merit.
- Please comment on what you have witnessed firsthand about any person's skills and capabilities; not from what you have heard from others.

Comments on issues, referendums, questions to the community
- The most effective manner to get your point across is to stick to the issue.
- Express your own opinion on a topic and refrain from commenting on another person's opinion.

To the editor:

Tuesday, February 7, 2017 there will be an informal Meet the Candidates night to be held at the Spirited Republic. This will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. All candidates are encouraged to attend.

Seth Goodman, mayoral candidate, will also be having an event on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Guzzardos. Complimentary pizza, beverages and cake will be provided from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mr. Goodman will speak at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by local artist, Emily Johnson. This event is scheduled to allow Mr. Goodman to meet community members and answer any last minute questions anyone might have prior to the primary election on February 28, 2017.
