It’s a Boy! ALMH Welcomes First Baby of 2017

[January 06, 2017]  LINCOLN - January 4, 2017 - Cody and Monica Baker of Lincoln welcomed their first child precisely on his due date, January 1. And with that, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital proudly welcomed its first baby of 2017. Baby boy Landon Andrew Baker arrived at 2:25am weighing 9 pounds, 5 ounces and measuring 19 ¼ inches long at birth.

Baker’s physician is Kristen Green, MD, a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology with Springfield Clinic Lincoln.

As the first baby born at ALMH in 2017, Landon received a special basket of baby items from the ALMH Auxiliary. In addition, every baby born at ALMH receives a quilt made by Friendship Manor residents, a crocheted hat from ALMH volunteer Ruby Glickerman, a silver spoon from the ALMH Auxiliary, a book from Zion Lutheran Church and a gift from Park Meadows Church.

ALMH’s Family Maternity Suites is a state-of-the-art obstetrical center that features spacious private labor-delivery-recovery-postpartum rooms with private restrooms and showers. Each mom and baby receives individualized care. In 2016, there were 204 babies born at ALMH including 93 males and 111 females.
