The Mount Pulaski girls basketball team hosted Decatur St.
Teresa Monday night and the Lady Bulldogs handed the Lady
Hilltoppers a 54-39 loss.
Mount Pulaski managed to play St. Teresa close in the first two
quarters and only trailed 22-20 at the half.
It was the third quarter that saw the Lady Bulldogs begin to
pull away, leading 37-29.
Skylar Hayes scored all ten of Mount Pulaski’s points in the
final quarter, while the the Lady Bulldogs continued to dominate
and cruised to a 54-39 victory.
Hayes led all scorers with 24 points.
Mount Pulaski travels to Riverton Thursday night to take on the
Lady Hawks. The JV is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. while the
Varsity is set to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
