Jacob Berglin named LTEC January Student-of-the-Month

[January 21, 2017]  LINCOLN - Jacob Berglin, son of Jeremy and Kim Berglin, was named the January Student-of-the-Month in the Culinary Arts Program at Lincolnland Technical Education Center.

Jake is a senior at Lincoln Community High School. Instructor Brenda Silano selected Jake for his strong abilities in Culinary Arts. Silano says that Jake “is an advanced culinary student with aspirations to become a chef. He comes to class and is ready to cook and try new recipes. He likes to challenge himself and is always trying to improve his skills. Jake has aptitude and talent when it comes to Culinary Arts. He enjoys cooking and takes pride in his work.”

Silano says it is a pleasure to have Jake in class.

Jake has participated in the football and baseball programs. He plans to attend Robert Morris University, graduate with a degree in Culinary and become a chef.

Jake received a $50 from the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln who sponsors this award and honored him at a noon luncheon.
