Alexandra Beckers named January Student-of-the-Month at Mount Pulaski High School

[January 25, 2017]  MOUNT PULASKI - Alexandra Beckers, daughter of George and Anna Beckers of Mt. Pulaski, has been named January - Senior-of-the-month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Alexandra stays actively involved at MPHS. She was a member of the Volleyball team all 4 years of high school. She made the volleyball All Area 1st Team and the Tomahawk All Conference 1st Team. She is also involved in FFA, where she serves as chapter secretary. She is also a Legacy Group leader, was on Prom Committee, and Spirit Squad.

Alexandra plans to attend Lakeland Community College to continue playing volleyball and study Agriculture Education, then transfer to a university.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly award winners receive a $50 award paid to the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
