[January 27, 2017]  The Lady Railers JV team is having a good week while compiling a 3-1 record in the CS8 non-city Tournament.

Lincoln JV Coach Todd Koehler is pleased with how his team is progressing this season. “The kids are playing good and as the season goes on they are getting better,” he said. "That’s what we are working for on the JV team.”

Koehler’s job is to prepare the JV team for the next level and he’s doing just that. "The goal is for the kids to get better with their skill work and things like that. They are accomplishing that and coming together as a team. Most of those kids haven’t played together on the same team before,” Coach Koehler said, noting that the JV team is comprised of freshmen, sophomores and a few juniors who all came from various junior high schools throughout Lincoln.

Ending on a good note, Koehler said, "As the season went on we hoped to see the kids get better and they have. So we are seeing a little bit more success.”

The 3-1 record this week is certainly a sign of success for the Lady Railers JV.

Lincoln will travel to Rochester Saturday to take on the Lady Rockets at 1:30 p.m. as the CS8 non-city Tournament concludes.

Best of luck to the Lady Railers!
