[January 27, 2017]    Jan 26 (The Sports Xchange) - It appears the New York Knicks are trying to trade Carmelo Anthony.

 

The Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers are discussing a possible deal for Anthony that does not include Chris Paul, Blake Griffin or DeAndre Jordan being traded to New York, the New York Daily News reported.

A source told USA Today that the Clippers have a strong interest in adding Anthony.

The Knicks have also contacted the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics about a possible trade involving Anthony, The Vertical reported.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are at odds over the superstar's view of the organization's payroll spending, ESPN reported on Thursday, citing multiple sources.

James has been critical of the organization during the team's losing stretch, which extended to six of the last eight games following Wednesday's 116-112 loss to the Sacramento Kings.
