Spring for Tea tickets to go on sale February 1st.

[January 27, 2017]   LINCOLN - Haofang Chuang Lee will provide the program for the Annual Spring for Tea, hosted by the Harvest of Talents for World Hunger, on April 29th.

She has presented programs for church services and events, evangelistic concerts, and conferences in the US, Canada, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Haofang has recorded CD’s with several choirs as well as solo pieces in Taiwan and the US.

Before moving to Lincoln, she was the conductor of the Greater Boston Philharmonia Singers, conductor of the church choir at Chinese Bible Church of Greater Boston and vocal coach of Yin Qi Symphony Orchestra and Choral in Taiwan, and conducted the Jung He Junior High School Choir. A native of Changhua, Taiwan, Haofang currently assists her husband in ministering to Chinese students at Lincoln Christian University. They are the parents of a 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son.

Haofang will be accompanied by accomplished local pianist, Kay Dobson.

Both have performed locally at the Musical Offering for World Hunger, held annually in the sanctuary of Lincoln Christian Church.

Marcia Bidwell, Tea Chairperson, expressed her delight in securing two such accomplished performers for the Spring Harvest event. She noted that the tea menu will feature a number of traditional tea favorites, both sweet and savory. Lincoln area women will graciously preside over tea tables appointed with lovely china, silver and crystal.

Tea will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Fellowship Center of Lincoln Christian Church, a handicapped accessible facility. Inquiries concerning the tea may be made to Bidwell at 217-732-7772 or: [e-mail].

Bidwell cautioned those interested in attending that a very limited number of tickets will be available for purchase beginning on February lst, on a first come first served basis, in the Office of Lincoln Christian Church during regular office hours.

All proceeds from the Tea will become a part of the 33rd Annual Harvest of Talents for World Hunger to be held the 4th Saturday in October, in the Fellowship Center of Lincoln Christian Church, Lincoln.
