LINCOLN
- The Salvation Army has opened the Keest Center at 307 North
Kickapoo in Lincoln as a cooling and charging station for medical
equipment. Hydration and snacks are also being served. Other items
may be charged, but medical equipment will take priority.
Straight-line winds have caused significant damage in Lincoln, and
some residents are still waiting for power to be restored.
The Salvation Army will be open until 7 p.m. this evening. People
with shelter needs and recharging needs can go at 6:30 p.m. to
Lincoln College Olin Sang on North Ottawa Street next to the college
library. It will be open all night.
