LINCOLN
- The Lincoln community took a double whammy hit with severe storms
moving through the area on Monday evening and again on Tuesday
morning.
In the city and around the county reports of power disruptions,
power lines down, limbs and in some cases entire trees blown to the
ground, streets cluttered with debris, and various other damage has
made travel through the area difficult.
In town, city crews are working to clear streets for traffic and
collect tree limbs.
For many parts of the city, there is no power, making it difficult
for residents and area businesses this morning.

The Logan County, Emergency Management Agency, has advised that
they will host a media conference this morning. LDN will be on hand for that
conference.
In the meantime, the best advice is to stay where you are as much as possible
today, and if you do go out, please use extreme caution, being aware of your
surroundings, and also, please respect the crews from the city and Ameren who
are working hard to restore our town back to normal.
