July 14 (The Sports Xchange) - The New York Knicks now appear to be pausing trade talks involving 10-time NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks want to pursue a conversation with Anthony about possibly reincorporating him into the organization, league sources told ESPN.

After talking with the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers over the past month about a possible deal for Anthony, the Knicks told both teams they are stepping back from trade talks for a short time, according to the report.

The Toronto Raptors completed the trade with the Indiana Pacers, acquiring draft rights to forward Emir Preldzic in exchange for point guard Cory Joseph.

Earlier this week the Raptors acquired veteran swingman C.J. Miles in a sign-and-trade deal from the Pacers for Joseph.

Pope received a one-year deal worth $18 million, according to multiple reports. His agreement with the Lakers was reported earlier this week.

Caldwell-Pope averaged 13.8 points, 3.3 rebounds and a career-high 2.5 assists in 76 games last season with the Pistons.
