Historian Matthew Pinsker will discuss Lincoln’s partisan skills and accomplishments when he visits the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on Tuesday, July 25.

His presentation, “Boss Lincoln: Understanding Lincoln’s Partisan Leadership,” is free and begins at 5:30 p.m. It takes place in the multi-purpose room of the ALPLM’s library building (112 N. Sixth St., Springfield).

Pinsker teaches history at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., and is the author of “Lincoln's Sanctuary: Abraham Lincoln and The Soldiers’ Home.” He is working on a new study of Lincoln’s organizational skills and the style of partisan command that he developed in Illinois politics.
