[July 18, 2017]  LINCOLN - Lynda Sue Ruff, 70, of Lincoln passed away at 10:40 A.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service: 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Lynda Sue Ruff, 70, of Lincoln passed away at 10:40 A.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Lynda was born July 26, 1946 in Logan County; the daughter of Norman and Mary (Sutton) Hart. She married Lyle Ruff on October 10, 1965 in Lincoln, and he survives.

Lynda is also survived by her son, Doug Ruff; one brother, Terry (Linda) Hart; two grandchildren, Vanessa Ruff and Angie Ruff; one niece, Tani (Troy) Scott and one nephew, Brandon Hart.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents.

Lynda worked for the State of Illinois as an Administrative Assistant for over 25 years. Lynda was an avid Rendezvousor for over 10 years; where she received the Indian name “Summer Storm” through a traditional Indian ceremony. She was a volunteer for years at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. She was also a past President of The Zonta Club of Lincoln.

 

Services for Lynda will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Ron Otto officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Memorial donations may be made in Lynda’s name to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.
