[July 24, 2017]  LINCOLN - Celebrated children’s book author Ellie Wakeman is making a special summer visit to the ALMH Farmer’s Market at the Logan County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 29th. Ms. Wakeman’s book, "Bella Gets Rescued," will take center stage at a live story time at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Bella Gets Rescued is Ellie’s debut book for children. Bella Gets Rescued follows a lost kitten on her journey from lost and lonely to found and loved. Bella’s adventure isn’t always easy but each small steps leads to a beautiful ending. Author Ellie Wakeman says she hopes as kids face their everyday challenges that they are “Encouraged, enriched and inspired because we are all in this together.”

In addition to the author readings at 9am and 11am there will be special drawings for giveaways, activity time with the author, book signings and more. Giveaways include special kid-size Bella T-shirts, entry to the Bloomington Normal Children’s Museum and a few other surprises!
