American Legion in Lincoln to host Flag Retirement Ceremony on Wednesday

[June 13, 2017]   LINCOLN -  Wednesday, June 14th will be Flag Day across the nation. In honor of flag day, the American Legion Post 263 in Lincoln and the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will host a proper flag retirement ceremony.

This event is open to all and free. Anyone having old, torn, tattered, faded or worn flags they wish to dispose of correctly, may bring them to the Legion Post in Lincoln for an official ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony which includes the ceremony for retiring the flags, then the proper disposal by fire.
