Habitat to build first ever home
in Emden

Habitat
for Humanity of Logan County will host a Groundbreaking Ceremony for
home No. 23 on Sunday, June 25 at 2:30 p.m. at 426 Main Street in
Emden.
The program will be led by Cince Bowns, president of the HFHLC
affiliate assisted by Leonard Krusemark board liason for the build.
. This will be the first HFH home build in Emden – widening the
circle of home within Logan County.
Participants in the program besides the HFH board, will be Mayor
Mike Kavanaugh; build co-coordinators Mark Coers, Larry Zumwalt and
Kent Cross. Jodi Trussel, family mentor and Chris Vivens, pastor of
the Emden Christian Church will also participate.
The property was acquired through land sold by Ron Schlader and
purchased by donations of Emden residents. The new owners will be
Lucas and Alicia Sutton and their family.

The public is welcome to join in celebrating this new home for a
family and new chapter in the life of HFH in Logan County. During the program
the public will be invited to step forward and turn over a spade of dirt!
