Members of the Route 66 Association of Illinois enjoy the displays in the Heritage in Flight Museum Hangar.

 

Melodee Bielfeldt and Pooh Bear have traveled the entire length of Route 66 from Chicago to California.
 

The HIF Parking lot fills with cars and motorcycles.
 

HIF member Rick Smith explains the workings of the museum’s unique World War II search light.
This display case contains a cutaway working model of a jet engine.
Route 66 travelers were able to get into a Vietnam era Huey helicopter.
 

Pooh Bear had a chance to try out the HIF children’s flight trainer.
 

Allan and Melodee Bielfeldt have enjoyed traveling the entire length of Route 66, as well as participating in the Route 66 Association’s annual tour of the iconic highway in Illinois.
 

The HIF Museum is filled with aviation artifacts from the earliest days of aviation to the 21st century.
