Vintage Cadillacs and LaSalles to Visit Atlanta this week
 

[June 26, 2017]  ATLANTA - On Wednesday, June 28th, approximately 75 vintage Cadillac and LaSalle automobiles will stop in Atlanta for lunch as they tour Rt. 66. The group will feature cars from the West of the Lake Region Division and the St. Louis Regional group of the Cadillac & LaSalle Club.

The Cadillac & LaSalle Club, Inc. (CLC) is an international organization of over 7,000 members with 18,000+ collectible automobiles built by The Cadillac Motor Division of General Motors. The West of the Lake Regional group of the national CLC, founded in 1985, serves Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. The Club provides activities and services for enthusiasts of all Cadillacs, ranging from the oldest single cylinder models to the modern exotic V-16’s.

From June 25 through July 1, the group will be exploring the eastern part of historic Route 66. The tour will begin in Chicago with stops at Joliet, Pontiac, Bloomington, Atlanta, Carlinville, and St. Louis planned. Along the way, the group will explore such Route 66 icons as the Rialto Square Theater, the Joliet Historical Museum, the Illinois Route 66 Museum, the Pontiac Oakland Auto Museum, the David Davis Mansion in Bloomington, Atlanta's Historic Rt. 66 downtown, Lincoln's Tomb and the Lincoln Museum, the Rabbit Ranch, Chain of Rocks Bridge, and the Missouri History Museum in St. Louis.

The group will arrive in Atlanta on Wednesday at approximately 1:30 p.m. to eat lunch at The Palms Grill Cafe, then visit Atlanta sites. They expect to be on the road again at approximately 3:30 p.m. The public is invited to come out and see all the beautiful Cadillacs and LaSalles when they visit Atlanta.
