[March 01, 2017]  ATLANTA - C. Scott McLaughlin, 41, of Mt. Pulaski, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Atlanta, IL.

Visitation: Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017 also at the funeral home.

Service: Services for Scott will be held at 1:00P.M. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.

Obituary

C. Scott McLaughlin, 41, of Mt. Pulaski, formerly of Atlanta, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in Atlanta, IL.

Scott was born on August 15, 1975 in Springfield, IL. The son of Glen and Donna (Donath) McLaughlin. He married Tara Krepel on April 23, 2016 in Mt. Pulaski, she survives.

Scott is also survived by his parents; his children, Lane Davis of Mt. Pulaski, Wade Davis, of Mt. Pulaski, Luke McLaughlin of Tamms, IL, Annie McLaughlin of Tamms, IL, Jenny McLaughlin of Tamms, IL, and Meghan McLaughlin of Mt. Pulaski; his sister, Lynette (Bryan) Cavinder of Normal, IL; his nephew, Dylan; his Niece, Brittney; and his dear friends, Jeff and Tomi Patrick of Springfield.

Scott was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Glen McLaughlin.

Scott was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho-Beta Alpha Chapter SIU C. Scott was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and had a passion for Livestock. He was a member of 4H and FFA, and was very active with his children as well. Scott was also a D.J. for a number of years. Above all else, Scott loved his family; especially spending time with his children and Tara.

Services for Scott will be held at 1:00P.M. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00P.M. Sunday, February 26, 2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Blue Grass Cemetery in Atlanta, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Scott’s name to The Education Fund for the Children of C. Scott McLaughlin in care of The Farmer’s Bank of Mt. Pulaski.
