The eight-hour certification course, Mental Health First Aid,
will be offered from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, 200 Stahlhut Drive, Lincoln.
The cost is $16.95, which provides the training manuals for each
session.
“Most people know how to recognize and appropriately react to
medical emergencies, but there is little knowledge in the general
public about what to do in a mental health crisis,” said Jan Gambach,
president of Memorial Behavioral Health, an affiliate of Memorial
Health System. "This session will provide people in our community
with the resources they need to know how to respond."
