[March 22, 2017]  MOUNT PULASKI - "The Almost Totally True Story of Hansel and Gretel” was presented by the Mount Pulaski High School Drama Club on March 10 and 11 at the Mount Pulaski Family Life Center. The students entertained a full house both nights under the direction of David Helm. Rob Siebert served as assistant director.

Auditions were held before Christmas break and the students devoted a lot of time to memorizing their lines over break and were well-prepared before they even started rehearsals in January, according to Helm. "They did a really good job,” said Helm. Of the talented and funny cast. Helm said, “The kids really grew with it. I gave them direction and say try that line again, you know, think about who you are talking to and what you are saying, what it means and then they can see if they can do it another way. All this stuff that was funny, they came up with.” Helm also gave credit to his assistant Rob Siebert, calling him a “mastermind.”

The “mastermind" was also in the production and is the cow in this picture.
