[March 28, 2017]  MOUNT PULASKI - April 2nd through 8th is the 27th Anniversary of Community Banking Week in Illinois. This year’s theme is “Community Bankers Always Ready to Help”. Community banks like us are inviting our friends, our neighbors, to help us celebrate the independent spirit that is the hallmark of locally run banks.

During Community Banking Week, The Farmers Bank of Mount Pulaski will be hosting numerous events. There will be giveaways, refreshments, and activities for everyone’s participation. The lobby will be decorated with entries to our coloring contest, stop in and vote for your favorite. Coloring entries (for ages Preschool to fourth grade) are available at the main bank and must be returned by March 30th. Some other activities planned for throughout the week include a food drive for the Mount Pulaski Summer Food Program, a guess how much money is in the jar, and refreshments.

Join us on Saturday, April 8th for two BIG events to end the celebration - a Blood Drive, in support of the Central Illinois Community Blood Center, from 10 am to 1 pm and a Community Appreciation cookout from 11 am to 1 pm with free brats, hot dogs, chips, cookie, and drink.

Mark your calendar for the week of April 2nd and stop by the bank to help us celebrate our great community. Thanks to everyone who has helped to make us a vital part of this community’s growth and prosperity. You’ve given us reason to celebrate Illinois Community Banking Week.
