[May 04, 2017]  May 3 (The Sports Xchange) - Running back Justin Forsett announced his retirement Wednesday after nine seasons in the NFL.

Forsett's most productive season came in 2014 with the Baltimore Ravens when he rushed for 1,266 yards (averaging 5.4 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns to earn a Pro Bowl selection.

Given the presumed separation from the New England Patriots hovering over cornerback Malcolm Butler most of the offseason, it was a mild surprise not to see his name on the trade and transaction wire during the 2017 NFL Draft.

But after an unsettling few months on the block, including an in-person visit and dinner with the New Orleans Saints' top brass, Butler was back at voluntary workouts in Foxborough, Mass.

The Arizona Cardinals signed veteran Tony Bergstrom to a one-year contract, adding depth to their offensive line.

Bergstrom, 30, has experience at both center and guard in his five years in the NFL. He played in 15 games with the Houston Texans last season before being released on April 13.
