[May 09, 2017]    May 8 (The Sports Xchange) - The Houston Rockets announced Monday that reserve center Nene will miss the remainder of the NBA playoffs with a torn left adductor.

 

Nene suffered the groin injury in the first quarter of Sunday's Game 4 win over the San Antonio Spurs. The Rockets won 125-104 to even the Western Conference semifinal series at two games apiece.

Toronto Raptors All-Star point guard Kyle Lowry confirmed that he will opt out of the final year of his contract and test free agency this summer.

The 11-year veteran, a three-time All-Star, has one year and $12 million remaining on the four-year, $48 million deal he signed in July 2014.

Rudy Gay will opt out of the final year of his contract with the Sacramento Kings, according to a report.

Gay's agent, Roger Montgomery, confirmed to The Undefeated that his client plans to become a free agent.
