			Sunday afternoon was
a perfect day for a walk in the park. While the sun was shining,
temperatures were cool, so walkers for the annual MS Walk in
Kickapoo Park were in for a nice little jaunt.

MS Walk coordinator, Dr. Ron Pierce commented, "What a beautiful
day! Not just the weather, but also for this turnout!"

There were ten teams who participated in this year's event. Dozens
of volunteers helped prepare and conduct the event.

In addition to the fundraising walk, there was also a raffle and a
silent auction featuring many fine items.

Participants and spectators had plenty of opportunities to bid on
some nice items, with the auction being closed and winners announced
			after the walk was completed.

The MS walk has been an annual tradition for years in Logan County,
previously led by Nancy Ireland. When Ireland decided to retire from
the task, the MS Walk skipped a year in Logan County. Then Dr.
Pierce took up the cause and revived the walk last year.

The walk is an annual fundraising event with all the proceeds going
			to research for Multiple Sclerosis.
