Trump to nominate ex-congressman Green to lead U.S. aid agency

[May 11, 2017]    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Donald Trump will nominate former congressman Mark Green to head the U.S. Agency for International Development, the White House said in a statement on Wednesday.

 

Green, a former U.S. ambassador to Tanzania and currently the president of the International Republican Institute, must be confirmed by the Senate.
