Lincoln softball suffers tough week

Lincoln lost at home last Tuesday to the Rockets 8-1.

The two teams were scoreless through four innings until Rochester struck first with three runs in the fifth inning. Jayden Zaffiri’s RBI double scored the first run for the Rockets. Rochester added a run in the top of the sixth inning and four more runs in the seventh inning.

Lincoln managed to break up the shut out by Reagan Miles and score a run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Osborne took the loss for Lincoln.

On Wednesday Lincoln traveled to Rochester and the Rockets shut out the Railsplitters 4-0.

Vs Pontiac

The week ended with Lincoln losing on Saturday to Dunlap 8-4 and 2-0 to Pontiac.

Lincoln falls to 11-15 on the season.

This week the softball team plays Eisenhower on Tuesday at home (Senior Night) and Wednesday in Decatur. Both games are scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
