On Halloween Day, residents at Friendship Manor enjoyed competing in the annual Halloween Costume Contest. The costumes this year were outstanding, and choosing the top three was a struggle for Judges Karen Hargis and Roy Logan of Lincoln Daily News. They finally settled on three terrific entries. First place went to Dorothy Hunter (Snow White), second to Kim Jackson (Scarecrow) and third went to Carol McLain (Witch).

After the judging, residents enjoyed a delicious lunch, including a spooky cake dessert followed by live entertainment.

The King himself, Elvis Presley (Ryan Williams) made his appearance, singing, dancing, wiggling about the room, and sometimes flirting with the ladies. He offered wonderful entertainment for the residents for close to one hour.
