Crusaders split with Normal Epiphany at home

[November 15, 2017]    The Carroll Catholic/New Holland-Middletown/Zion Lutheran Crusader basketball teams took on Normal Epiphany on Tuesday evening at home.

 

In the 7th grade game, Epiphany came away with the win by a score of 34-28.

Leading the way for the Crusaders was Darren Stevens with 20 points. Also scoring for CCS/NHM/ZLS were Porter Schwantz with 5 and Parker Graue with 3.

The 8th grade contest saw the Crusaders come away victorious by a score of 55-24.

Leading a balanced attack for the Crusaders was Trent Koehler with 21 points, followed by Drew McCray with 14 and Andrew Graue with 11. Rounding out the scoring for the Crusaders were Hayden Allen with 4, Everett Maaks and Caden Stewart with 2 apiece and Darren Stevens with 1.

The 8th grade record improves to 5-3.

The Crusaders will travel to Greenview on Thursday evening.
