[November 15, 2017]  LINCOLN - Mary A. Harmon, 94, of Lincoln passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at 4:30 a.m. at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

Visitation: Friday, November 10, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Village Congregate Building

Service:  Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Village Congregate Building

Obituary

Mary Anne Harmon, 94, of Lincoln, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017, at The Christian Village in Lincoln.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at The Christian Village Congregate Building with Mr. Ryan Edgecombe officiating.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at The Christian Village Congregate Building prior to the service.

Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown, IA, on Monday, November 13, 2017, at 10:00 a.m.

Mary Anne Whittemore was born March 25, 1923, in Dillon, IA, the daughter of Grant and Blanche Harding Whittemore. She was united in marriage with Donald James Harmon on March 24, 1943, in Marshalltown, IA. He survives.

Also surviving are her children: James (Bonnie) Harmon of Honey Creek, IA, Dave (Linda) Harmon of Lincoln, IL, and Deanne (Bill) Price of Peru, New York; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother: Earl Whittemore and one sister: Margaret Whittemore.

Mary Anne graduated from the Liscomb Community High School. She was employed as a cook at the Liscomb Community School District.

Mary Anne is a member of the Liscomb Church of Christ. She often hosted the missionaries that would visit their church and was always available to help people in need.

Memorials may be made to The Christian Village Memory Care Unit.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
