While it was cold and gloomy outside on Saturday, Nov. 11, a great way to spend the day was inside the Lincoln Eagles where it was cozy and full of mirth, and a benefit took place. For the eighth year running Chapter #2708 offered a number of activities and food in an all-day event that raised funds for veteran causes.

Starting 11 a.m. a schnitzel lunch was available for purchase, while pool and bags tournaments kicked off the fun for the earlier part of the afternoon.

Then came a quarter auction and tables filled at 3 p.m. with many bidders for a number of combination product baskets and other creations, with everyone having a great time.

Proud wife of a Marine Corp veteran, Diana Pagel brought her line of Paparazzi Jewelry to sell. Reasonably priced and well-made, Pagel became interested in the line because the metals are nickel-free and eliminated her allergic reaction to jewelry.

Rod Teany offered live music beginning at 7 p.m., and the fundraiser activities closed with a 50/50 draw on decor and other items at 8 p.m.
