[November 17, 2017]    (The Sports Xchange) - New Jersey Devils center Travis Zajac was activated from injured reserve and made his debut in Thursday's road game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

 

Zajac underwent surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle on Aug. 17. He was expected to be sidelined four to six months.

The Nashville Predators recalled Anders Lindback from Milwaukee and assigned fellow goaltender Juuse Saros to the American Hockey League affiliate, the team announced.

Lindback has an AHL-leading eight wins to go along with a 2.46 goals-against average and .918 save percentage in 11 games this season for the Admirals. Signed to a one-year contract in the summer, the 29-year-old Swede owns a 45-58-8 mark in 130 career games with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Buffalo Sabres, Dallas Stars, Arizona Coyotes and Predators.

The Florida Panthers signed forward Jonathan Ang to a three-year, entry-level contract, the team announced.

Ang has a team-best 12 goals and 30 points in 21 games with Peterborough of the Ontario Hockey League. The 19-year-old was named the OHL Player of the Week last month after collecting a pair of three-point performances.

The Buffalo Sabres recalled forward Kyle Criscuolo and defenseman Casey Nelson from Rochester of the American Hockey League, the team announced.

In a corresponding move, the Sabres placed defensemen Taylor Fedun and Matt Tennyson on injured reserve.
