11/18/2017 NHL Note - Toronto Maple Leafs Leivo, Josh

F Josh Leivo and the Toronto Maple Leafs agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension worth $925,000, the team announced Friday. Leivo, 24, has one assist in five games for the Maple Leafs this season. The Innisfil, Ontario, native owns 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) in 46 career NHL games, all with the Maple Leafs.

NHL Note - Detroit Red Wings DeKeyser, Danny

D Danny DeKeyser was placed on long-term injured reserve, the Detroit Red Wings announced Friday. The move is retroactive to Oct. 10, the last time DeKeyser played in the third game of the season against the Dallas Stars. He was injured when the puck struck his ankle from close range. DeKeyser, 27, practiced with the team Monday for the first time since being told to stay off the ice a few weeks ago to let his ankle (hairline fracture) heal.

NHL Note - Detroit Red Wings Lashoff, Brian

D Brian Lashoff was recalled by the Detroit Red Wings from the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins. Lashoff, 27, has played parts of nine seasons for the Griffins since making his professional debut during the 2008-09 season. Lashoff appeared in five games for the Red Wings during the 2016-17 campaign. He has skated in 122 NHL games since the 2012-13 season, recording 13 points (two goals, 11 assists) and 57 penalty minutes.

F Luke Glendening scored for the Wings (10-8-2), who snapped a four-game losing streak against Buffalo. "We were sticking with the program," Glendening said. "And we had a good third in response to their goal. We came back with two.

NHL Note - Detroit Red Wings Tatar, Tomas

F Tomas Tatar scored for the Wings (10-8-2), who snapped a four-game losing streak against Buffalo. With Wings forward Justin Abdelkader screening Lehner, Tatar's long wrist shot from just inside the blue line banked off the top of Lehner's pad and into the net. "I don't know who stands in front, I'm guessing it was Abby," Tatar said. "Big thanks. (Lehner) probably didn't see much and I was fortunate to get the puck in."

NHL Note - Detroit Red Wings Larkin, Dylan

F Dylan Larkin scored for the Wings (10-8-2), who snapped a four-game losing streak against Buffalo. Larkin added an insurance goal with 4:06 left in regulation. Red Wings defenseman Xavier Ouellet shot from an odd angle and Larkin slammed the rebound past Lehner. "That was great work by my linemates," Larkin said. "Tats (Tatar) was right there in front. If he's not there, that puck doesn't bounce there and if X doesn't shoot the puck it doesn't get to me."

NHL Note - Buffalo Sabres O'Reilly, Ryan

F Ryan O'Reilly scored for the Sabres (5-10-4), who are winless in four games (0-2-2). "We are embarrassed by this," O'Reilly said. "We have to play with a much better effort than we showed tonight."

NHL Note - Buffalo Sabres Lehner, Robin

G Robin Lehner, who shut out the Red Wings 1-0 on Oct. 24, looked to have Detroit's number again. Lehner (30 saves) got a pad on Luke Glendening's shot, but he fired the rebound past Lehner.

D Trevor Daley, who left Wednesday's game against Calgary with an upper-body injury, was back in the lineup.

NHL Note - Columbus Blue Jackets Bobrovsky, Sergei

G Sergei Bobrovsky finished with 36 saves in his second shutout of the season and the 21st of his caree on Friday night at Nationwide Arena. "He's been there for the past few games," Columbus coach John Tortorella said. "Just not a lot of run support. What can you say? He wins the Vezina last year. He is what he is. He is that good."

NHL Note - Columbus Blue Jackets Werenski, Zach

D Zach Werenski's sixth goal of the season was the first of the game at 13:34 of the second period. Werenski went top shelf with the one-timer past Henrik Lundqvist's blocker. Werenski had scored the game-winner in overtime on Tuesday in the Blue Jackets' 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. "I thought we played well," Werenski said. "That was the game we needed. That was the team we are. It was a huge game for us. We're going to look to continue that moving forward."

NHL Note - Columbus Blue Jackets Panarin, Artemi

F Artemi Panarin scored a power-play goal at 7:14 of the third period that gave the Blue Jackets a two-goal cushion. His laser shot beat G Henrik Lundqvist glove side for his fourth goal of the season.

NHL Note - New York Rangers Lundqvist, Henrik

G Henrik Lundqvist stopped 40 shots in a loss to Columbus on Friday. "I thought he played well," Lundqvist said of counterpart G Sergei Bobrovsky. "But we really didn't test him that much. We didn't create the big chances. To beat him obviously you need to make it really tough on him and be in his face."

NHL Note - Columbus Blue Jackets Atkinson, Cam

RW Cam Atkinson signed a seven-year, $41.125 million contract extension with the Blue Jackets on Friday. The 28-year-old has four goals and two assists this season. He scored a career-high 35 goals last season.

NHL Note - Columbus Blue Jackets Dalpe, Zac

C Zac Dalpe was activated from injured reserve and sent to Cleveland of the American Hockey League. Dalpe has missed the past four games with an upper-body injury. He has 13 penalty minutes in 10 games this season.

NHL Note - New York Rangers Smith, Brendan

D Brendan Smith returned to the lineup after sitting out six games as a healthy scratch. Smith signed a four-year, $17.4 contract this summer but has dressed for only 12 of New York's 20 games.
