[November 19, 2017]  LINCOLN - Lillian Lorraine Bayer, 96, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Visitation:  1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.

Service:  2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Obituary

Lillian Lorraine Bayer, 96, of Lincoln passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Clara’s Manor in Lincoln.

Lorraine was born on April 20, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of James and Lottie (Beck) Morriss. She married Everett Johnson on November 21, 1940 in Downers Grove. He preceded her in death on January 31, 1971. Lorraine later married Edward A. Bayer on April 1, 1977 in Lincoln. He preceded her in death.

Lorraine is survived by her children: Christel Huff, Creigh (Linda) Johnson, and Curtis (Debra) Johnson; her step-children: Bonnie (Gabe) Vuolo, Ted (Mare) Bayer, Mary Ann (Pat) Johnson, and Edie Bayer; additionally she is survived by many Grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and one brother, Richard Morriss.

Lorraine was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Lincoln. She was a member of The Lincoln Chapter #351 of The Order of The Eastern Star. She was a life member of the ALMH Auxiliary and an ALMH life member senior citizen of Logan County. Lorraine was also a long time member of The Oasis Senior Center.

A memorial service will be held for Lorraine at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place one hour prior to her service (1:00-2:00 p.m.) on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at New Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Lorraine’s name to Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, The Oasis Senior Center, The Arthritis Foundation, and The Humane Society of Logan County.
