Lincoln Taekwondo performs well at weekend tournament

Results of competitors from Lincoln Taekwondo who participated in the Midwest Open Taekwondo Championship held November 18th and 19th, 2017 at The Decatur Conference Center and Hotel in Decatur.

The event was hosted by Grand Master Joshua Sharp of Sharp’s Taekwondo in Decatur.

Grand Master Joshua Sharp conducted a very well organized tournament with participants from throughout the United States. The competition was tough!

This day was a pleasant experience for Lincoln competitors. It was a fun time spent with a strong group of high-quality competitors from a variety of Martial Arts styles.

Local competitors ranked two Grand Champions in the Forms Divisions, eleven 1st places, two 2nd places, and three 3rd places!

Twelve of the thirteen Lincoln competitors who participated in Olympic Style Sparring Competition resulted in seven 1st places and three 3rd places.

Ten competitors in Forms Competition resulted in four 1st places, two 2nd places, one 3rd place and one 4th place in their respective divisions

Two of the 1st place forms winners went on to take two beautiful Grand Champion Forms Trophies.

Cerenitii Bard - (9 year old Yellow Belt) - 1st Sparring

Luke Bramwell - (Men’s White Belt) - 1st Sparring, 1st Forms, and Grand Champion Forms Winner

Gavin Seaman - (13 Year old White Belt) - 2nd Forms and 3rd Sparring

Devon Seaman - (13 Year old White Belt) - 3rd Sparring and 4th Forms
