[November 20, 2017]  ATLANTA - James M. Gordon, 73 of Atlanta passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, at Quiram Peasley Funeral Home, Atlanta

Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Obituary

James M. Gordon, 73 of Atlanta passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral Services for Mr. Gordon will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta with Mr. Ron Otto officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.

James Martin Gordon was born on March 19, 1944 in McLean the son of Alvin "Buck" and Lillian Edwards Gordon.

He is survived by his daughters: Kim (Virgil) Burke of Leroy, Kay (Jason) Hornke of Lincoln, Wendy Cummings of Atlanta. his sister: Ann (Ray) Billington of Armington, two brothers: Glenn (Ruth) Gordon of Atlanta, Ed Burleson of Bloomington. Eight grandchildren: Bill Heck, Kristina Cavello, Andy Burke, Amie Hasselbring, Nikol Mattingly, Robert Mattingly, Whitney Galbreath, Ryan Cecil.

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents, great granddaughter: Grace Galbreath, three brothers: Mike Burleson, Terry Burleson and Roger Gordon

James was employed at Precision Products in Lincoln as a Quality Assurance Inspector.

Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Rescue Squad or March of Dimes.
