[November 22, 2017]  Olympia High School FFA has selected junior FFA member, Dwayne Hancock, as the member of the month for October.

Dwayne is the son of Debbie and Pat Hancock of Armington.  He was selected for his outstanding participation in pork chop sales at home football games as well as his involvement in other FFA community service activities.

Dwayne works nearly every shift at every home football game. He is always willing to help with clean up at the end of the night too. This monthly award is sponsored by Dietrich Builders, Inc.

Dwayne has been a dedicated FFA member for the past two years of high school. His supervised agricultural experience project involves his job working as a janitor at his church in Armington.

Dwayne plans to pursue a career in production agriculture. “I would like to be a farmer that helps feed America,” states Hancock. Dwayne’s favorite FFA activities include FFA Week and of course selling pork chops, “I really enjoy meeting new people through FFA. FFA has also helped me break out of my shyness that I once had.”

A special thanks to Mark Dietrich of Dietrich Builders for sponsoring the member of the month award!
