[November 22, 2017]  The Lincoln College Career Services Office in conjunction with the College’s Excellence in Leadership Committee will host an Open House in the College’s new Career Services Center, located in the McKinstry Library building, on Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 3–4:30 p.m.

Later that evening, Lincoln College will also host a special “Excellence in Leadership” presentation featuring two guest speakers from the Career Center at Illinois State University. The presentation will begin at 7 p.m. Room 128A-B in the Lincoln Center on the Lincoln College campus. Both events are free and open to the public.

“Through the new Career Services Center we are expanding services to our students to help them prepare for life after college and, at the same time, the center can offer local employers a pipeline to skilled graduates,” Director of Career Services Joe Hendrix said.

For the Excellence in Leadership presentation that evening, Pam Cooper, Director of the Career Center at Illinois State University, and Maureen Roach, Senior Assistant Director for Programs and Events at the Career Center at Illinois State University, will co-present and share insights gained through their nearly 50 years of combined experience working in career counseling, with a focus on career exploration and development, and the related value of gaining leadership experiences and transferable skills.
