[November 27, 2017]   (The Sports Xchange) - The Columbus Blue Jackets recalled goaltender Joonas Korpisalo and forward Markus Hannikainen from the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League on Sunday.

The team also assigned goaltender Matiss Kivlenieks to its AHL affiliate.

Korpisalo, 23, has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.28 goals-against average and .896 save percentage with the Blue Jackets this season. He is 24-19-5 with a 2.73 goals-against average and .914 save percentage in 49 career NHL games, all with the Blue Jackets.

Hannikainen, 24, has four points (two goals, two assists) and two penalty minutes in 12 games with the Blue Jackets in 2017-18. He owns six points (three goals, three assists) and eight penalty minutes in 26 career NHL games.

The Tampa Bay Lightning reassigned forward Cory Conacher to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.

Conacher, 27, has skated in one game with the Lightning this season, making his season debut on Saturday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins and scoring a goal in the 5-2 loss.

The Burlington, Ontario, native has appeared in 153 career NHL games with the Lightning, New York Islanders, Buffalo Sabres and Ottawa Senators, amassing 63 points (21 goals, 42 assists).

He played in 11 games with Tampa Bay in 2016-17 and scored one goal with three assists.

The Florida Panthers assigned forward Chase Balisy to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the AHL.

Balisy, 25, has appeared in eight games for the Panthers this season, with no points.
