Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers stay undefeated in the Bill Rucks Tournament

[November 27, 2017]  The Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers improved their record to 3-0 on the season with an exciting win over the Porta Blue Jays Friday night in the Bill Rucks Tournament. The two teams battled point for point through three quarters with the score knotted at 35-35 going into the final eight minutes. Mount Pulaski’s defense held Porta to just three fourth quarter points while the Hilltoppers offense hit two field goals and then relied on free throws. Mount Pulaski hit 10 of 13 free throws down the stretch and sealed the 50-38 victory against a team they had not beaten in several years. Seth Huff led the Hilltoppers with 17 points and Gezus Oliver followed with 13 points.
